Lateral Finger-like

The Lateral Finger-like Distribution Systems are used in Water Treatment Systems which have capacity more than 6000 LPH. The regular Distribution Systems are used in Water Treatment Systems which are less than 6000 LPH.

Working Mechanism:
Inlet Water Distribution: Water enters the system through a central inlet pipe. The distribution system evenly disperses the incoming water across the filtration media (e.g., sand, resin, or activated carbon) in the vessel. This prevents channeling and ensures effective use of the media.
Treatment Process: The water flows through the filtration media, where impurities are removed. The uniform flow distribution enhances the filtration or softening efficiency.
Effluent Collection: Once treated, water is collected via strainers or laterals installed at the bottom of the vessel. These laterals ensure the treated water exits uniformly, maintaining consistent quality and flow rate.
Backwashing: During backwash cycles, the system reverses flow.Water enters through the bottom laterals and flows upwards, dislodging debris or contaminants trapped in the media. The debris is carried away to waste.
